A fan who got shot during a chaotic scene at a Chris Brown concert is now blaming the singer for the incident and is suing him.
This is even though Chris was in no way involved in the shooting and was on stage at the time shots rang out.
The fan is claiming due to Chris Brown’s past with shooting incidents, he should have had more security at the event than he did.
The shooting occurred during a Chris Brown show in January, which led to five people getting injured including Paul Briley, who’s suing.
Named as co-defendant is the Fiesta Nightclub, where the shooting occurred.
Briley suffered “permanent injury” to his foot, the suit claims. He’s suing for loss of income, and medical expenses. The suit also requests damages for “past, present, and future physical, mental and emotional pain and suffering, including fright, shock, terror, and post-traumatic stress of being shot.”
“This shooting should never have happened,” Briley’s attorney, Richard Alexander, said in a statement. “Brown’s managers and the concert promoters know that violence follows in Brown’s wake.”
