A two year old baby was buried alive, presumably by her parents, in a shallow grave in Komenda in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

It was only by sheer luck that a passer-by heard the baby crying, and together with some people rescued the baby from the grave.

She was rushed to the Cape Coast Government Hospital where she received emergency medical treatment, reports adomonline. The baby is said to be blind, deaf, and dumb.

Police in the region has begun investigations into the matter. They believe the parents tried to get rid of her due to her defects and are seeking public assistance to apprehend the culprits.
