We have not finished dealing with the mind blowing judicial scandal and the police have to go and remind everyone of their expertise in the field.

Four police officers are in trouble after they held on to Ghc 50,000 out of a larger amount of confiscated cash from some Indian nationals.

The police apparently received a tip off about the illegal activities of the Indians, and were sent in to intervene.

According to Joy news, the money was returned to the proper owners after the intervention of Talensi MP Baba Jamal.

However, the wife of one of officers involved is furious her husband is being held over 48 hours after being arrested, despite having produced the money in full after they were asked to.

She says they were only acting on the orders of a superior and that she believes Baba Jamal, who is a business partner to the Indians involved, is behind the police administration’s refusal to let the officers go.

Now if they really attempted to withhold some of the money they were supposed to have returned, the consequences cannot just be as simple as returning the money and going scot free.

Thought I guess if it works for Woyome why can’t it work for the police?
