Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan currently plays in China, the land of over 2bn people and currently one of the world’s foremost economies.
The country also has a long line of big screen heroes whom the Ghana captain can hang out with if he gets the chance.
He recently shared a photo on his Instagram with ‘Taa shun’, the monkey king character from the ‘Journey to the West’ series.
Sun Wukong was his official name, but no Ghanaian kid ever knew him as such. ‘Taa shun’ (that’s the spelling I’m going with) was how we all called him when we ran away from church on Sundays.
It’ll be way cooler if he met the guy who played the character himself.
