FC Barcelona forward and four time World’s best player Lionel Messi could be in Ghana soon to carry out some charity work.
That’s according to the Country Director of ASPIRE Dreams Academy, Captain Andy Sam.
The Argentine’s foundation, the Leo Messi foundation, is set to help the Academy’s anti-malarial project ‘Football Combating Malaria’
Andy Sam was speaking at the 9th Media Launch of the Academy’s recruiting programme.
“Plans are far advanced to bringing Lionel Messi to Ghana sooner than later to support the Aspire Academy’s ‘Football Combating Malaria’ project.” He revealed with some gusto.
The ‘Football Combating Malaria’ project is a humanitarian programme aimed at donating anti-mosquito bed nets to young people and their families across Africa to help reduce malaria infection across the continent.
Aspire is partnering with the Leo Messi foundation and hopefully they can get the dribbling wizard down here.
