Maybe Francis Sosu, an Accra based private legal practitioner has not read Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri’s article on the TV3’s Suspension of Nana Aba Anamoah—a piece that cleverly considered the action in the light of international standard.

According to reports, Francis Sosu says he will sue Tv3 for taking Nana Aba Anamoah off air for her photo thievery and accompanying ridicule which placed her employer at the center of things.

The lawyer says he is ready to become Nana Aba Anamoah’s counsel in court if the TV presenter is ready to take him on—and then sue the butt on TV3.

He told Peace Fm that, “I will challenge the station in court if Nana Aba is ready to do that with me…”

Late Saturday, the management of Tv3 issued a statement, suspending the Nana Aba Anamoah.

“The Management of TV3 has taken a serious view of the recent media reportage relating to its news anchor, producer and presenter, Ms Nana Aba Anamoah and the alleged online information theft and other unprofessional misrepresentations that have flooded social and other media in the past one-week.” the statement began.

According to the station, after preliminary investigations, Nana Aba’s conduct has fallen short of the standards expected of employees and she ‘has been taken off air until further notice’

“As a broadcast network that prides itself in upholding high ethical standards and delivering credible and trustworthy content to its viewers, TV3 would like to assure viewers and other key stakeholders that it shall continue to take all necessary steps to maintain such standards,” the statement noted.

“We expect guardians of our brand particularly employees who we entrust to deliver content on air to our viewers, to ascribe to the company’s values whatever they are.”

The statement was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of TV3, Mr. Augustus Dickson.
