John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen are expecting their first child together, after battling to conceive for a long time.
The pair, who got married in 2013, but had been together for six years prior, recently admitted they were having trouble conceiving. Teigen told the host of ‘FabLife’ that people wondered why they were not giving birth, unaware they were having trouble.
“We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened,” she said.
“It’s been a process. We’ve seen fertility doctors.”
That process is over now. On Monday, Teigen took to her social media pages to announce the fabulous news.
“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant 🙂 As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family.” She wrote on Instagram
“We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx”
