New York Mother Throws Her Six Month Old Baby Out Her Sixth Floor Apartment In Apparent Psychotic Episode

WTF
WTF

It seems that the only reason a loving mother like this one was described as being would intentionally harm her child must be in the grips of a mental breakdown she had no control over.

Because otherwise; this incredibly disturbing story becomes even worse to digest, that the mother did it intentionally.

Tenisha Fearson lives in a high rise apartment in the Bronx with her four children. Neighbours and relatives have described her as a loving and doting mother. Until Thursday (Oct 16) when she dropped her youngest, a six month old baby; out the apartment window six floors down to her death.

Residents in the apartments had been alerted earlier, to incredible noise from her room. They said they saw her naked, her four children lined up on the floor as she tried to break her window open.

Tenisha N. Fearon was yelling, “I’m going to throw the baby.” A neighbour told the New York Times.

“She was saying, ‘Hallelujah, praise God, we’re all going to die,’ ” said the neighbor, Lizette Rodriguez, 48, who lives three floors below Ms. Fearon in the Bronx.

“She was arguing with herself.”

Numeorus neighbours called 911, but the baby was already down when they arrived. She was declared dead a short time later at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Tenisha, 27, was taken into police custody and sent to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Later, she was charged with second-degree murder.

Her three other children, a 10 year old boy, and 8 and 4 year old girls, have been placed in the city’s welfare system.

“Tenisha loved her children dearly, and she cared for her children 100 percent. This is a shocker for us.” Her sister, Alicia Fearon said.

Sad news. Inexplicable, like I said; unless there’s a mental issue we’re not aware of yet.
