These Are The Biggest Hollywood Movie Flops Of The Year- How Many Have You Watched?

hollywood flops

Making a movie is always a huge risk for the studio involved, especially when there is no accounting for people’s tastes. So a studio could spend millions, and sometimes just breaking even at the box office becomes a problem.

And these days, it turns out even booking a huge star in your movie is not a guarantee of success. The biggest flops of the year contain huge stars such as Johnny Depp, George Clooney and Bradley Cooper.

Forbes have drawn up the list of the biggest box office flops of the year- the humorously titled ‘Biggest Turkeys of 2015’

Forbes outlines how they came up with their list:

“To compile our list of Hollywood’s Biggest Turkeys we used information from Box Office Mojo, IMDB and other sources to find worldwide box office and estimated production budgets. We ranked the films based on what percentage of their budgets they earned back at the theater as of November 18. We only looked at movies that opened in more than 2,000 theaters to screen out films that had small openings; we did not include films released in November.”

The movies included Sean Penn’s ‘Gunman’, Johnny Depp’s ‘Mortdecai’, George Clooney’s ‘Tomorrowland’, Zac Effron’s ‘We Are Your Friends’ and Hugh Jackman’s ‘Pan’.
