The incidents of violence over scorned lovers is becoming quite endemic, and measures have to be taken by University, and indeed all school authorities- to ensure killing a student on the school’s premises is not this easy!

A first year female student of the Ho Polytechnic has died after being attacked by unknown assailant(s) in the hostel where she was residing. Naomi Kpodzro was a first year HND fashion student who met her untimely demise on Monday dawn.

According to numerous reports, the assailant(s) entered her room and stabbed her to death in the early hours of the day. After screaming for help, she was found lying in a pool of blood, with her arms tied.

She was rushed to the Volta Regional Hospital in Ho, but passed away despite the attempts of the doctors.

Somewhat mirroring the case at UPSA a few weeks back, it has also emerged that the victim might have been killed because of the belief she might have offended a lover.

Reports circulating around the school indicates that the girl might have been attempting to sever a relationship with a guy, who believed he had spent too much on her to let her go scot free, and thus commissioned the hit.

However, adding another layer of uncertainty is another theory floating around the school’s campus which indicates that the girl who was stabbed was a gentle soul who might not have been the target of the raid.

Sources at the school tell GhanaCelebrities.com that the killers accidentally found her when they were looking for someone else, her roommate. They further add that the girl in question was not at the hostel that day, and the killer(s) being hired thugs could not distinguish between them and killed the innocent Naomi Kpodzro- who apparently is a ‘chrife’ girl who wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Only time and police investigations would tell us which prevailing theory would pan out.
