Abraham Attah Set To Win Breakthrough Award At National Board Of Review Awards

Abraham Attah has fallen headfirst into fame and fortune since his breakthrough role as Agu in Netflix’s ‘Beasts Of No Nation’.

He delivered a stirring performance in that movie, earning him rave reviews and the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the Venice Film Festival.

Attah’s exploits recently landed him a spot on a Hollywood movie for next year. And now, the National Board of Review plan to honour him as the breakthrough actor for 2015.

The National Board of Review awards are set to come on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Mad Max: Fury Road, was chosen as the movie of the year, whilst Matt Damon was adjudged best actor, for his role in The Martian.

The National Board of Review honors diverse members of the film community at their annual Awards Gala, which also acts as a fundraiser for student grant philanthropy. Hosted by Willie Geist, this year’s gala will take place on January 5, 2016 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
