American country music singer and songwriter, Luke Bryan is eager to meet and hug Blake Shelton’s new angel Gwen Stefani, but Blake says no!

The 39-year-old singer who was honored together with Blake Shelton at the 2015 CMT Artists of the Year Awards on Wednesday told ET that his good friend has remained reluctant in allowing him to meet Gwen Stefani, who succeeds Miranda Lambert—after they divorced earlier this year.

“You know what I don’t know, he won’t tell me,” Bryan responded jokingly when asked if Stefani was attending the event with Shelton. “He doesn’t want me to hug her or anything. He doesn’t want me to meet her.”

The ‘I See You’ crooner revealed that he would be grateful to me hung out with Blake and Stefani—together with one wonderful woman in his life.

“My stepmother is an optometrist and I’m trying to get Gwen an appointment with her,” he teased.

Luke Bryan is married to his college sweetheart, Caroline Boyer, whom he met at Georgia Southern University. Bryan and Boyer married on December 8, 2006. They met at a local bar called Dingus Magees when Bryan was a senior and Boyer was a fresher.

The couple have two sons, Thomas Boyer Bryan (Bo), born March 18, 2008 and Tatum Christopher Bryan (Tate), born August 11, 2010.
