Sam George pulled off the upset of the NDC Parliamentary primaries, dethroning the seemingly invincible E.T Mensah in the Ningo-Prampram constituency.

Sam’s feat was impressive, in that he took down a behemoth of the party. E.T Mensah was not happy, seeing as how George was once his protégé- and it seems the consequences are falling now.

The party has suspended Sam George, apparently for acting disrespectfully towards the executives of the party. The decision was taken by the party’s Greater Accra Regional executives.

A letter addressed to George said he had breached party rules on candidates behaving respectfully towards executives.

“On Novermber 21, 2015, you contravened article 41(3a) and 40(8b and C) when you instigated people against the regional executive monitoring team and granted interview to the media accusing the regional executives of perpetrating fraud to the benefit of your contender. The Disciplinary Committee will contact you soon,” the letter read.

La Dadekotopon MP, Hon Nii Amasah Namoale, who won his primary, has also been suspended by the party for a similar offence. Namoale faced a fierce challenge from T.T Caternor, but eventually sailed through. However, the executives say he insulted them to the media, bringing the party into disrepute- hence his suspension.
