A Power struggle is afoot.

The NDC last week suspended budding political star Sam George from the party. This was after the youngster had dethroned the hitherto invincible Enoch Teye Mensah in the NDC Ningo Prampram parliamentary primaries.

The suspension was ostensibly for acting disrespectfully towards the executives of the party. The decision was taken by the party’s Greater Accra Regional executives.

A letter addressed to George said he had breached party rules on candidates behaving respectfully towards executives.

However, national executives of the party have lifted the suspension by the regional executives. According to them, the decision was not ratified by them, thus making it not the position of the national body.

General Mosquito Asiedu Nketiah has already communicated the decision to the press. No word yet on the fate of the other suspended candidate, Nii Amasah Namoale.
