Benny Blanco: Everybody Called For Nana Aba’s Head And TV3 Delivered

1 min

Former host of TV3 New Day, Benny Blanco, has decided to wade into the Nana Aba controversy now that he is no longer with the Kanda based television station.

Nana Aba Anamoah was suspended by TV3 after being involved in an online photo theft scandal. After being ridiculed by Ghanaians for days, the network decided to suspend her.

Nana Aba did not react well to the suspension, and a while later resigned her post.

Speaking on the Starr Chat with Nii Arday Clegg, Blanco opined that the decision taken by TV3 was influenced by the negative public opinion surrounding the entire saga. He said people were calling for Nana Aba’s head and TV3 obliged.

“I personally think the public ridicule was just too much.” he told Clegg.

“Everybody called for her head and they decided to deliver.”

Ama K. Abebrese also waded into the controversy, saying the entire episode took her by surprise. For her however, she thinks it’s just a minor setback that has made her friend stronger.

“A lot of it I found very surprising, but then it just kept escalating and escalating.

“Sometimes the worst situations in life make you grow stronger. She brushed it off her shoulder and rose above and she is just going to keep rising and rising”

Nana Aba Anamoah has moved on, like Ama K. intimated- she has joined GHOne Tv, recently acquired by the Excellence in Broadcasting group.
