Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste, Samini is hopeful that he might one day grab a nomination or even win one of the most prestigious awards in the world— the Grammy’s!

The 33-year-old musician was optimistic that with hard work and determination he will surely make it to the Grammy’s.

According to him, it’s the dream of every musician to be recognized for his/her hard works.

“Like every other mainstream act, you would want to have a Grammy tag, so we still working and if that recognition comes, then that’s like yeah..,” Samini disclosed in a recent interview.

Veteran musician, Rocky Dawuni recently set an historic landmark, becoming the first Ghanaian musician to be nominated in the Grammy Awards.

Samini has six studio albums to his credit so far.

He received international recognition when he won the “Best African Act” at the 2006 MOBO Awards.

Samini won three awards at the 2007 Ghana Music Awards after he released his second studio album which was titled ‘Samini’. In February 2008, Samini won the “African Artiste of the Year” award at The Headies.
