Website Of Registrar General’s Department Hacked

HACKED
HACKED!

A lot of people generally take internet security very lax in this country. In the days of hacking syndicates like Anynonymous and the Guardians of Peace- one can never be too careful.

However most people aren’t, displaying information freely online and entering agreements whose imports they aren’t fully aware of. Hackers are everywhere these days, and information you might find innocuous might have several uses you just haven’t been made aware of.

In recent times, a Moroccan jihadist group hacked the websites of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the Ghana Post Office. Some other government websites were hacked sometime last year, similar to this recent one.

The website of the Registrar General’s Department (http://www.rgd.gov.gh/) has been hacked. The hacker identifies him/herself as V3nom X, and has stamped the entire site with a sort of symbol with the words “Security is just an illusion, wake up!!!’ written below it.

Whoever would take the time to hack such an obscure website is not obvious, but they are sending a sort of message- we guess.
