Popular Nollywood actor, Yemi Blaq has opened up on why he hides his family from the public spotlight.

Yemi in a recent interview with Punch disclosed that he cannot put his family in the spotlight because they always want to keep their lives private.

According to him, his wife is a writer who hates to be in the public glare.

“The funny thing is that my family is not in the public but my family’s tale is in the public. You cannot see pictures or actual events about my family on the internet but things pop up about my work. I keep my family away from the public eye because they do not like it.” he said

“My wife is a writer but she does not like to be in the public glare. It is inevitable to have mentions of my family on the internet but I would never put my family in the spotlight. I am an extremely private person and that is why I would not let my family be in the public glare,”

Yemi and his wife Remi Ibinola Olatunji have a child together.

Yemi Blaq, who studied Theatre Arts in the University of Benin, joined the Nigerian movie industry in 2005.

He is known for his roles in Without Goodbye 2 (2009), Without Goodbye (2009), Sinking Sands (2011) and many other movies.
