Dr Onsy Nkrumah has been fighting to be declared a legitimate son of Ghana’s late first President, but the family refuse, calling him a fraud out to tarnish the Osagyefo’s name.

Onsy’s claim is that Dr Nkrumah had an affair with another Egyptian woman prior to his marriage to Fathia, and that he is the product of that union.

Samia Nkrumah, along with most of the Nkrumah family, refuse to acknowledge his claim. And in a new interview, the CPP aspiring Presidential candidate calls Onsy a fraud who once proposed to her.

She said on Asempa Fm that, years ago, Onsy attempted asking for her hand in marriage.

“How can someone claiming to be my brother propose love to me some years ago?” she asked

“I know this man in London as an ordinary man but all of a sudden, he comes to Ghana to say he is Nkrumah’s son? He should prove it and we will accept him.

“This Onsy thing is part of a political project to destabilise Nkrumah’s legacy.” she concluded.
