North Korea started the New Year on another war rhetoric from its supreme leader-Kim Jong-un who has been preparing to fight his on shadow from the time he took charge of the poor country.
According to Metro; ” Kim’s New Year comments, broadcast by North Korea’s state TV, largely stuck to well-worn propaganda messages.
He avoided threats centering on the country’s nuclear weapons and long-range missile ambitions but told viewers he was ‘ready for war’ if provoked by ‘invasive’ outsiders.
His words are likely to be pored over by analysts for hints about the country’s intentions for the coming year.”
Though Kim did not state which country he will be staging this war against—it’s obvious the leader was talking about South Korea, and its ally-America.
For many years, North Korea has threatened to launch missiles in both countries—with speculations that the country’s military is developing long distance missiles, capable of reaching mainland America.
Also in his message, Kim Jong-un said he was “open to talks with anyone truly interested in ‘reconciliation and peace’ on the Korean Peninsula. He vowed to improve North Korea’s struggling economy.”
