Kasapa 102.3 FM’s mid-morning show host Afia Schwarzenegger has left the station.
Management of the six-month-old station which has become one of Accra’s most revered mass market radio stations, has wished her well.
Meanwhile, the Adabraka-based station is set to announce a new host for its mid-morning show Aben Wo Ha, currently one of the most listened-to mid-morning shows on mass market radio in Accra.
Kasapa 102.3 FM is owned by EIB Network, Ghana’s leading media group that also operates Starr FM, and LIVE FM (all in Accra), Ultimate FM (Kumasi), Agoo FM (Nkawkaw), GH ONE TV and the Daily Heritage newspaper.
EIB is set to roll out two new stations in the coming months; Abusua FM (Kumasi) and Super FM (Tamale).
Despite Afia Schwarzenegger’s seemingly unprofessional antics, she seems to have a large following and as such radio stations love to hire her for just being ‘stupid’—capable of bringing in the ratings for a limited period of time.
Afia Schwarzenegger is reported to be heading to OKAY Fm, an outlet belonging to Despite Group of Companies.
She is already an employee of UTV which is also owned by the Despite Group and therefore, it is not much of a shock that she has landed herself a gig at OKAY Fm.
In an instagram post not long ago, Afia Schwarzenegger sort of confirmed that she will be hosting the mid-morning show ‘Ye Wo Krom’ on Okay Fm.
