Mexican drug baron Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman was re-arrested last week, after his second daring escape still led to his second recapture.
A raid on his house in the town of Los Mochis, located in his home state of Sinaloa, led to his capture. The raid saw five cartel gangsters killed, another six arrested, and one Mexican marine sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
Joaquin escaped from Altiplano prison in Central Mexico last year, slipping through a small hole in the shower floor to utilise a mile long tunnel to effect his escape. The raid on Friday was the end to that freedom he illegally gained last July.
Parts of the raid were captured on video by the marines, and it was released by authorities in Mexico. You can view it below…
