Another Nayele situation? A national organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reportedly been arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport for travelling with substance believed to be cocaine.
The identity of the man is being withheld for now, claims the Daily Guide, which reported the story.
According to their report, the man is an NDC organiser at one of the Ayawaso constituencies in Accra. He is said to be in the grips of British police, awaiting a date before court after the substance was tested and proven to be cocaine.
The man in question left for Britain last week, and apparently beat security at Kotoka in Accra despite his cargo. However, upon arriving in London, he was unable to beat the stringent measures in place at Heathrow Airport, the same airport where cocaine baroness Nayele Ametefe met her deserved demise.
Apparently, the friends and family of this man have been aware of his arrest since last week, and attempting to remain mum about the story is rather giving it more legs.
More updates are expected in the coming days…
