A 28 year old man has gotten himself into hot waters after he was arrested for attempting to sell his four year old step-son in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.
Dominic Mensah Okrah was remanded in prison custody during his last court date, after his attempt to sell his wife’s child to raise money backfired and he was reported to police.
According to Adomonline, Dominic’s wife had a child out of wedlock, and it was that son that he attempted selling.
After hatching his plan, Dominic contacted a friend known as Akwadaa Nyame to help him execute the sale. Luckily, Akwadaa decided to report the matter to the police, but then told his friend that the sale had been arranged for Ghc 8,000.
When he appeared with the child to sell him, Police were waiting and swooped on him to arraign him before court.
During his appearance in court, the judge remanded him in custody, to reappear at a later date.
