Louis Tomlinson has become the first member of the boy band One Direction to sire his own progeny.
PEOPLE reported on Friday that Briana Jungwirth had given birth to Tomlinson’s first child in Los Angeles.
“Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth welcomed their first child, a son, on Thursday, Jan. 21 in Los Angeles, a source close to Jungwirth confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.” The celebrity news site reported.
Tomlinson and Jungwirth discovered her pregnancy middle of last year, although they were not a couple at the time. Jungwirth is a stylist based in LA.
At the time, a mutual friend of the two told PEOPLE that: “Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother. It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends and this has brought them even closer,”
Tomlinson vowed to be at Jungwirth’s side and to be a “hands-on dad” when the baby arrives early next year, the friend continued.
Tomlinson is currently dating actress Daniella Campbell.
