A woman who claimed Chris Brown punched her in the face during a fracas at a Las Vegas after party was likely less than truthful with police, investigations have uncovered.
The woman, Liziane Gutierrez, lodged a complaint against Chris Brown for punching her in the face when she tried to take photos of him. The singer from the get-go has denied all allegations against him.
According to TMZ, police have closed the case due to lack of corroborating evidence. Their investigations turned up little to support the woman’s claims of assault.
Added to her history of getting into confrontations with celebrities, and they was little grounds to continue the investigation.
Brown once again beats another potentially damaging situation, as his assault history would not serve him well if he ever gets convicted on one of these charges.
Gutierrez claimed that Chris Brown yelled and punched her once in the face and took her phone, the incident reportedly occurring at a private party in Brown’s suite at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas.
A statement by Brown’s reps after the allegations came out denied everything.
“Making false accusations seems to be a pattern of behavior for Ms. Gutierrez. Whatever her motives, her statements are unequivocally untrue. Ms Gutierrez was escorted out of the private after party at the Palms Casino Resort for being disruptive and out of control.”
