A swift police response after the murder of J.B Danquah, MP for Abuakwa North, led to the arrest of one suspect in Accra.
After his arrest, numerous media outlets reported that he had confessed to the murder. However, a video circulating online seems to put a damper on those reports.
In it, the suspect can be seen speaking to a woman querying him on the events of that night. He denied entering the MP’s house, saying he stayed outside whilst the murder was being committed. As if that matters.
When asked to name his accomplices then, he didn’t seem too enthusiastic of that either.
Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu was the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North in the Eastern Region, until he was stabbed to death on February 9. One suspect has been arrested so far, whilst the rest remain at large.
