VIDEO: Obinim Now Says He Can Enter Banks In Spirit And STEAL Money To Give To His Congregants

Bishop Daniel Obinim
Bishop Daniel Obinim

Being a conman like Obinim must not be easy. With the number of people he has hanging on his every word, he has to come up with new schemes every day to inflate his powers and keep them coming up for more.
After astounding everyone with his bald faced claims (lies) about being able to turn into snakes and lions in spirit, the man this time says he can enter banks in spirit to steal money to share to his followers.
Of course he would say that. The entire bit was in the midst of a longer one on how he can get money for his followers. To follow such an obviously dishonest, lying man, the level of desperation must be high, so no wonder this insane proclamation was immediately followed by loud cheers from all in the congregation.
And his method of delivering that money to you? He can drop it on your doorstep or deposit it in your bank account. Both delivery methods are spiritual too, I think.
So first he says he kills people with his powers, and now he steals with his powers. You would think such a talented man would find positive uses for his powers. And even if we grant him these powers, as millions of ignorant Ghanaians would- what’s the difference between what he does and witches/wizards as commonly envisioned?
A uniquely ignorant population leads to men like these thriving. Yet point out this ignorance and you’ll still be met with hostility.
And anyone thinks this country really has any future to offer us, its citizens?

  1. I think your stance on religion is factual & makes a lot of sense , however the issue really is; once nobody has been able to explain what happens when one dies , there’ll always be room for this kind of absurdity !
We humans are scared of the unknown, I personally was born and raised in a Christian home – my Mom was a devoted worshipper of the good Lord for decades until her unfortunate/untimely demise.
I have come to realize that birth & death occur at random. Some people naturally have long lives while others don’t – it doesn’t really matter how devoted you are to whichever God you believe in , when your time is up – it is indeed up!
I have seen many good people die young & many immoral people live & enjoy longevity !
Growing up and acquiring knowledge has personally moved me into questioning some of the Christian doctrines espoused by the Bible & also some doctrines of Islam as espoused by the Quran but that isn’t to suggest that everything therein is fallacious.
I believe in the existence of a supreme being , simply because we cannot account for the many wonders of nature , so there must certainly be some kind of force behind it.
Am not quite sure that science can explain everything that happens in the world and that’s what makes room for absurdity. Once you believe in things you cannot immediately see or verify, then Charlatans such as Obinim can thrive by simply telling you that they have the spiritual prowess to serve as a liaison between you and God & you’d believe it !
Life itself is one huge jumble ! No one really knows why we are here , who brought us here , for what purpose and where we go when it’s time to exit ! That’s the sort of quagmire in which we find ourselves.
Most people resort to Devine help when they find themselves in dire situations and I guess that makes it very difficult for one to totally discount the existence of a supreme being .
The fact that there are pseudo lawyers, pseudo medical officers etc does not throw the whole law / medical profession into disrepute.
So though the likes of Obinim exist , I believed there are many genuine worshippers of faith !
Almost every country in this world both developed and underdeveloped believe in some kind of God or higher Being … The only difference between the developed ones & their underdeveloped counterparts is that, the former infuse their belief with reality , innovation , hard work & common sense while the latter simply leaves everything to God … From the food they eat , to the water they drink, to the spouses they marry , their kids , their jobs and all must be realized with the help of God and that’s what I think is ridiculous !
No one can convince me that there’s no such thing as spirits in existence , otherwise how do magicians/ soothe Sayers , sorcerers et all operate ? Or are we saying they all don’t exist ?
One of your quotes on the preamble on your website , really puts a finality to this discussion ” absence of evidence , isn’t the evidence of absence” therefore the fact that we don’t know something exist doesn’t mean it’s not in existence!
I know of medical professionals , politicians and all manner of high profile intellectuals who troop to the premises of renowned pastors such as T.b Joshua , pastor Chris et al in search of miracles, so the truth is that , it isn’t only illeterates & credulous people who patronize the services of these so called ” men of God” their congregants come from a wide variety of backgrounds !
