Wow, if that’s the criteria for stabbing then a lot of us are at risk.
A UK woman has been sentenced to life in prison for stabbing her boyfriend to death because she claimed he ignored her to spend too much time on Facebook.
23 year old Terri-Marie Palmer of Heysham, Lancashire- plunged a bread knife deep into the heart of her boyfriend, 24 year old Damon Searson, because he ignored her too much- MailOnline reports.
On the day of the stabbing in August last year, Palmer’s frustration was evident, as she posted on Facebook that Damon is “p***** me off sitting on Facebook, completely blanking me when I’m talking to him”.
She also wrote to a friend that: “All he does is sits there and adds loads of girls. He’s a f***ing little prick. I’m fuming with him.”
Moments later, a neighbour heard the pair arguing, before Palmer knocked on his door agitatedly.
Damon was found stabbed in the chest, a breadknife in the room lay covered in blood. He was taken to hospital, but did not make it.
Initially when police was called, Palmer claimed that her boyfriend had been accidentally stabbed whilst they were fooling around, a claim that was rejected by jurists who heard the case.
She claimed he asked her to throw it to him, but the knife went straight through his chest.
She was sentenced to life imprisonment when the case was heard at Preston Crown Court, but would be eligible for parole after serving twelve years.
The pair’s relationship had been described as tumultuous, and they were often arguing with each other.
