Bob Okala Passes Away At 59


Popular comedian Bob Okala, has died after decades of bringing smiles to the faces of Ghanaians.
Bob Okala died early Sunday, after he collapsed on stage whilst performing at an event in Koforidua. He was rushed to hospital but ultimately did not survive.
Okala, who had scaled back on public appearances due to health issues, nonetheless agreed to perform at a programme organised by Joy Industries at Koforidua Jackson Park on Saturday.
It was during that performance that he collapsed and died.
Bob Okala for years was one of the leading names in the revolutionary Key Soap Concert Party comedy show, one of its main pioneers with other legendary names like Nkomode and A1. His signature attire, featuring a clock attached to his wrist, was a sight to behold.
He was 59. May he rest in peace.
