Former President Rawligs Says He Does Not Miss The Late President Mills One Bit

rawlings-n-mills
Former President Jerry John Rawlings has said that he does not miss his former vice-President John Atta Mills; and that the latter’s death is actually what saved the party he founded.
The two ex-confidantes had a huge falling out after Rawlings handed over the reins of the party to Mills, yet tried to run things his way despite being no more in charge.
Mills later became President, but unfortunately passed away in 2012 during the final year of his first term.
Speaking on GhOne Friday, the former President said the late President turned against him to slander his family, therefore to say he misses him would be a lie.
“No, I don’t miss him at all, and I would take off my glasses for you to see my face” he told Nana Aba Anamoah.
“When I look at him [Mills] and look at this John [Mahama], they have a few commonalities; but this John did not line up people on the promise of a job when you insult and fabricate things against me, wife and my family as Mills did.” he added.
President Rawlings also said in the same interview that the death of President Mills was a blessing in disguise, because it saved the party from losing the 2012 elections.
“If God hadn’t invited him, and I am saying it again; NDC would have been in opposition. It was terrible, the climate was really bad for us; we all knew about it, we were just keeping quiet. It was his departure that gave NDC a saving grace,”
Jeez, what did Mills ever do to this guy?
