A documentary on the life and works of Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Ghana’s investigative journalist par excellence, is set to premiere in the country on April 1.
‘Chameleon’ has already been played at some film festivals worldwide, and now comes to the country.
The movie, directed by Ryan Mullins, goes through some of the huge cases Anas has uncovered so far, attempting to tell the story not only of the insurmountable physical and logistical challenges he faces in his work, but also of the moral ones.
“This is not a story of my life, it is a story of my society driven by the need for social change. As an undercover journalist, my job is about results, it is about fostering development, but the stakes are always high.” Anas, whose latest work exposing corruption in the judiciary left Ghanaians dumbfounded, said of the film.
“Every second counts as I decide to take the risk.”
‘Chameleon’ is produced by EyeSteelFilm, in association with Blue Ice Docs, Kinosmith Inc. The movie is directed by Ryan Mullins, with Bob Moore as Producer. Executive producers are Mila Aung-Thwin and Daniel Cross.
It premieres April 1st in Accra.
