Ghana Education Service Condemns ‘All Die Be Die’ Mock Question

all-die-be-die
When our education became too political some years ago, it created a situation where government took policy decisions based on political expediency, and left students being forced to bear the brunt of the unpleasant results.
So a few eyebrows were raised when a mock exam for a school in the Upper East region had a question referring to NPP flagbearer Nana Akuffo-Addo as ‘all die be die’- in reference to his infamous quote from some years back.
The Public Relations officer for the Ghana Education Service in the region, Reverend Jonathan Bettey has told Citi Fm that the framing of the question was not the best, and there was no way WAEC would set such a question. (the mock exams are preparations for WAEC’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations)
“I don’t think and believe that WAEC will set such questions for our candidates to answer in BECE.” He told the Accra based station.
“We have condemned it and we have decided that we will speak to the district director and the headmaster of that school because as part of our routine practice, anytime a question of that nature for mock  exams are set, we expect the headmaster to go through the questions to make sure they are standard before the children write,” he continued.
“We will not encourage anybody to set political questions.”
