A Magistrate court in Accra has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Braimah Kamoko, aka Bukom Banku, for skipping scheduled court appearances.
Banku is on trial for assault, after a lady accused him of assaulting her and some friends and reported the case to the police.
The boxer failed to appear when last the case was called, prompting the judge to issue the order for his arrest and for him to be hauled before the court.
Not so coincidentally, Banku also has a bench warrant out for his arrest for another assault case from last year, but nothing ever came of that case.
The plaintiffs claim Bukom Banku assaulted them during an altercation earlier in March. They reported the case to the Jamestown police, but after a while reported to the Accra Central police who effected the arrest of the popular boxer.
