April 4, holds significance for the Queen Bey in more ways than one. On that date in 2008, she first got married to current hubby Jay Z.
On Monday, the couple hit their eighth wedding anniversary, continuing to defy the endless reports of their marriage’s demise.
According to E!, whilst a eighth anniversary is not exactly a significant milestone, Beyonce’s love for the number four means for the Carter’s, it does. They got married on April 4, the fourth day of the fourth month.
“[4 has been] my favorite number since I was a kid,” she said of the number in her Year of 4 feature.
“It’s the number of my birthday, September 4, my mother’s birthday, January 4, my husband’s birthday, December 4 [and] it’s the anniversary of my wedding.”
For now, the couple have daughter Blue Ivy to show for their marriage, and despite the aforementioned ‘scandals’, they remain strong.
