Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan marked his return from injury with a clinical goal to help his side Shanghai SIPG to victory in the Chinese Super Lig.
Gyan was a 76th minute substitute in the game involving Shanghai and Liaoning FC, and took only two minutes to make his mark after entering the fray.
His goal was his team’s fourth of the night, giving them a comfortable 4-0 victory.
Gyan had been out of action after picking up an injury with the Black Stars during the last international break. The Ghana captain injured his thigh, ruling him out of the Stars’ double header against Mozambique- but he marked his return with a goal and a customary brash celebration.
