Agya Koo

Agya Koo, whose recent utterances seems geared towards getting him in more trouble with those in the industry, says during his time as the doyen of Kumawood, several other actors conspired to kill him to end his dominance.

The actor, in an interview on Atinka Fm, said that the conspirators went to see a spiritualist who performed rituals meant to get rid of him.

Agya Koo circa a decade ago emerged as one of the top Kumawood acts, his comedic exploits giving him fame and the no.1 spot in the industry. It was a time when he was easily the most known actor in the country, and according to him his rivals didn’t like it very much.

So their solution, visit a spiritualist who turned the actor into a cow.

“A colleague actor and three others turned me into a cow and buried it so I would die gradually as the cow rots,” he said.

He added that the use of black magic in the industry didn’t end with personal attacks, and that sometimes the attempts to get others to fail is targeted at their movies.

“Producers bury posters of movies from other producers just to stop people from patronizing those movies,” he further opined.

These allegations, he didn’t provide names, is symptomatic of the entire mindset in this country, always looking for spiritual enemies. When you realise even the biggest actors or politicians think that someone can bury a cow and that cow can somehow kill them, the success of people like Obinim becomes easier to fathom. When everyone is afraid of a sickness, those selling the cure become the richest.
