Game Of Thrones Season Six Finale To Be Longest In Show’s History With Runtime Of 69 Minutes

The season finale of Game of Thrones season six would be the longest ever in the show’s history, set to run for a total of 69 minutes.
Titled ‘The Winds of Winter’ (which not so incidentally is the name of George R.R Martin’s upcoming sixth book), the episode would wrap up what is easily one of the show’s best ever seasons- with fallout from the numerous threads that have been weaved over the past few weeks.
The episode would run for 69 minutes, portending a packed episode as the stories for the season are wrapped up in a nice little bow for next season. The length beats out the previous record for the show, which is 64 minutes for season 4’s finale ‘The Children’.
‘The Winds of Winter’ airs on June 26, 2016. But before then, we have to get through ‘No One’ on June 12 and ‘Battle of the Bastards’ on June 19.
