The top two politicians in the country met on Wednesday, at the residence of President Mahama, as Nana Akuffo-Addo visited him to pay his respects.
The President lost his mother, Abiba Nnaba, on the evening of Tuesday, June 14. After first expressing his sympathies via social media, the NPP flag bearer visited the residence of the first gentleman to extend his condolences personally.
After news of the late Madam Nnaba’s death was revealed, Nana Addo extended his condolences to the president on twitter.
“I extend my condolences to @JDMahama and his family on the passing of his mother, Madam Abiba Nnaba. May she rest in perfect peace.” The opposition leader wrote on twitter.
He followed that up with this visit later in the day.
The President’s mum, Abiba, was 85. She was mother to six children.
