Rumours have been circulating for a while now that the ruling National Democratic Congress will not participate in the upcoming Institute of Economic Affair (IEA) Debates. But today, the party officially confirmed that they’ve boycotted the all debates organized by IEA.
“The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has, at its Functional Executive Committee (FEC), Meeting on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, decided not to participate in any debate to be organized by the Institute Of Economic Affairs (IEA), as far as it is related to the 2016 General Election,” the party said in a statement.
The statement added that all party structures (especially the Youth and Women’s wings) are to take note and comply accordingly.
