This is for real: I’ve seen it with my own eyes and apart from the fact that I cannot understand how anyone would want to fast and pray for 200 days—I can’t seem to figure out what is meant by “additional problems’ which this long fasting and prayers is going to deal with.
The call is made in such a way that, certain problems are deemed default and then we have the additional problems—perhaps, the stubborn problems like dumsor which we cannot seem to get rid off in Ghana will fall under this category.
This is the sort of stuff which makes certain people laugh at us the religious ones; why should someone fast and pray for 200 days, and come to church each night while doing this before his or her own father in heaven would listen to him or her? What kind of nonsense is that?
Imagine the number of people who would take this challenge and only finish with serious stomach ulcers while the pastors make huge money on the back of their constant service attendance.
We should stop making Christianity seem so stupid and insane—now it’s like a club of mad people.
