“I  don’t remember deciding to become a writer. You decide to become a dentist or a postman. For me writing is like being gay. You finally admit that this is who you are, you come out and hope that no one runs away- Mark Haddon.

Were we  all not here when one Omar Mateen gruesomely shot 49 people to death in Orlando because they were gays?
Whether he was a sociopath or mentally deranged, that is the extremes people would go when the subject of gayism is up for discussion. In the part of the world where I live (Ghana), you dare not even raise that topic if you really want to live long enough to see the birth of your grandchildren. The insults alone…
The Roman Catholic Church should apologise to gay people for discriminating against them, Pope Francis says.
He said the  Church had not been fair to gays and must seek forgiveness from them–they must also apologise to women and children who have been exploited and abused.
“I will repeat what the catechism of the Church says, that they (homosexuals) should not be discriminated against, that they should be respected, accompanied pastorally. I think the Church not only should apologise to a gay person it offended but to the poor, women as well as children who have been exploited to work. It must apologize for having blessed with so many weapons.
The Catholic Church opposes gay marriage and the social acceptance of homosexuality and same-sex marriage.  It however teaches that homosexual persons deserve respect, justice and pastoral care.
Whilst others have hailed the Pope’s remarks in the gay community as his positive attitude towards homosexuals, other obstinate Catholics have criticised him for making comments they say questions sexual morality.
