Ghanaian actor John Dumelo told GhanaCelebrities.Com a few months ago that he was going out into the political field with unprecedented vim—and that he was going to campaign heavily for the NDC so the party can win the upcoming elections.
Since then, he has gone forward to make various comments indicating that his NDC blood is boiling hot and he has also been spotted hanging NDC flags on trees, in support of the campaign.
It was therefore not much of a shock when it emerged that he has been appointed as Operations Director for Agenda For Mahama, a pro-NDC youth group.
However, John Dumelo has declined the appointment—adding that he will still do everything possible to ensure victory for the NDC.
John Dumelo wrote:
I’d like to thank “Agenda for Mahama” for the position offered but I would have to decline offer. I remain committed to campaigning for the NDC and ready to work with all groups in the party to ensure not just victory but massive victory for the NDC in the Nov elections. Thanks so much.
What’s happening here? Perhaps John Dumelo considers the pro-NDC group’s appointment as something beneath him—he is looking for the big fish to catch.
