Idris Elba’s ‘Bastille Day’ Withdrawn From French Theatres In Wake Of Nice Terror Attack

Idris Elba’s action movie ‘Bastille Day’ has been withdrawn from French cinemas after the tragic terrorist attack in Nice last week.
The attack featured a man driving a tractor trailer to mow down persons gathered to honour the prominent French holiday known as ‘Bastille Day’.
The movie, co-starring former Game of Thrones star Richard Madden (Robb Stark), follows an attempt to foil a terror attack on French soil on Bastille Day.
An unfortunate coincidence that has led to the movie’s recall.
“The film has been withdrawn from cinemas out of respect for the victims and their families.” StudioCanal spokesman Antoine Banet-Rivet said Saturday.
The movie came out in France Wednesday, before Thursday’s unfortunate attacks. It had been playing in over 200 cinemas across the country.
