A 40 year old man is currently in the grips of the police in Dansoman after he allegedly beat his wife to death over a slight misunderstanding.
Kwabena Hemeng, 40, beat his 46 year old wife Ama Osah to death Tuesday night.
According to Starrfmonline, the argument ensued whilst the wife was convalescing from a previous beating she had suffered, and Hemeng inflicted more on her, eventually leading to her death.
Frank Darlington Herman, a nearby resident, narrated the incident to Starr.
“The couple who have been married for ten years with two children have been having a series of misunderstanding for some time now,” he said.
“The deceased who was under the weather as a result of a previous assault from her husband was sleeping when her husband came in to put on the ceiling fan in their bedroom.
“She then asked her daughter to put it off but her husband got provoked and started beating her with chairs and anything he laid his hands on. After the severe beating, he locked the deceased out of the room,” he added.
She was rushed to the hospital when she started complaining of severe pains, but was pronounced dead.
The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
