These Photos Capture the Deep Irony of Ghana's Politics—NDC Folks On Their Way to A Village to Talk About Their "GREEN BOOK" Get Stuck in Mud On Bad Road

The huge gap between the elected and electorates in Ghana is filled with boxes of irony—which if well evaluated, certain people wouldn’t ever be voted for.
The ruling NDC government has put together a fine GREEN BOOK, highlighting the government’s achievements and vision—finely tuned and beautifully presented to capture the minds of even the most political sceptic.
But how deeply in touch is the green book with those the ideas in there are sold to? That’s the sort of question these photos which have been circulating on social media perfectly answer.
Apparently, this is an NDC delegation—heading to a remote village to ask for votes, and here they are stuck in mud, because of how terrible the road that leads to this village is…
Yet, like magicians, they would somewhat be able to get these “villagers’ to vote for them—maybe even amend the green book to say they will construct that road when they are given another 4 years mandate.
Perhaps you are asking yourself this; why haven’t they fixed the road all this while that they’ve been in power?
That’s the irony of the situation—that cuts across the political landscape.
Politics in Ghana can trigger insanity if you dare try to understand the locomotive force behind the moving train. Maybe one day they will ask those we elect to be accountable to our needs.
