Lionel Messi is not having the best time of his life right now, and as we all do when we are down, he has made some changes to his hairstyle.
Changing something about your body is one of the easiest ways to ‘reinvent’ yourself, and Messi seems to have gone all in to erase some of the disappointments of the last few months.
Argentina lost the Copa America final to Chile last month (their third major tournament final loss in three years), leaving Messi in tears on the pitch at the final whistle and him announcing his retirement soon after.
The Barcelona forward debuted a new platinum blonde look over the weekend, perhaps signalling the arrival of a ‘new’ Messi. The only problem; instead of a fresh look he has gone for one that looks more like Charlie Sheen after he goes on a bender.
Most fans online can’t seem to digest the change at all. Take one look at Messi and perhaps diagnose where he has gone wrong.
