The beauty of democracy is that, it accords everyone a right to a choice—and even if you deem another’s choice absurd, you ought to respect that choice.
A few days ago, illiterate Kumawood actress-Tracey Boakye released a campaign commercial for John Mahama and the NDC starring another Kumawood star Kani Gloria—a video Tracey is said to have shot with her own money to get the attention of the NDC.
And the video seems to have worked because since the released, Tracey has been spotted posing with President Mahama and together with Kani Gloria, they were invited to President Mahama’s mother’s final funeral rites on Sunday.
Considering how things are smoothly working for the two, we don’t disagree when they say they have not regretted shooting the campaign video for President Mahama.
Kani Gloria is reported by Zionfelix to have said this afternoon that: “I don’t regret campaigning for the president. I think in life everybody has an option and people need to respect the views of others. I’ve made my choice and the right one as well so I pray everybody will respect my decision.”
