The Accra circuit court hearing the case of ‘Ekiki Me’ singer Wisa has ordered the singer to make a cash deposit into state coffers that he would forfeit in the event he misses another court date.
Wisa has been on trial for gross indecent exposure after he showed his p*nis live on stage during the 2015 Citi Fm Decemba 2 Rememba concert, but the case has been handicapped by the consistent failure of the suspect to make court dates.
The trial judge has issued three bench warrants for the arrest of the singer, after he failed to make previous court dates, but the police have not been able to find him so far.
In court Wednesday, the judge issued the ruling concerning the deposit, warning the singer would forfeit the cash if he fails to make the next court date.
The case has been adjourned to August 12 – on which date his lawyer has promised to produce the singer.
