Gifty Anti venturing into Politics is no surprise to me—the fact is I have been counting down to the day she would finally come out to proudly tell the world of her political ambition. Right from the onset she has come across as someone who has an interest in the said office.
In an interview with Accra based 3FM this morning, the “abnormal” Chiefs’s wife proudly made it known to all that it may interest that she may contest for a Parliamentary seat on at the back of which political party, we still do not know.
“I have a bigger constituency than going to be a parliamentarian where I will be restricted to a political party but maybe, I may consider going independent sometime,” Ms. Anti established.
She said inasmuch as politics is not her calling, she may reconsider her decision and contest as an independent candidate in the future. When the topic of the readiness of Ghana for a female president, Oheneyere Gifty Anti said she is positive about the readiness though it may take sometime for that to materialised.
She was hopeful that a lot more women will be elected in the coming elections to add up to those who are already in parliament.
Well our fingers are crossed,waiting for that eventful day.
